Registration Status

After You Submit Your Registration Packet:

Thank you for checking on the status of your Registration/Renewal Packet. We appreciate your eagerness to share your wonderful pet with others. At this time, due to the high number of packets received every day, it may take 4 - 6 weeks until you receive the program Acceptance Letter via email.

As of December 29th, 2008, Delta Society is processing registration packets that were received on or before December 23rd , 2008.

If your registration packet was received on or before the date listed above, you can expect to receive your Acceptance Letter within 5-10 business days.

Please be sure to check your spam and/or junk mail filter for your acceptance letter, it may end up there if your system is not used to receiving communications from Delta Society.

About 3-4 weeks after receiving your acceptance letter, you will receive your permanent ID badge and your animal's tag.

NOTE: If you mailed in your registration/renewal packet OVER 5 weeks ago and have not received an Acceptance Letter from Delta Society, please contact Kerissa Potter. Currently, Delta Society is unable to rush any packets, and/or to tell you whether your packet has been received. Thank you and your pet for your understanding and patience!

Registration Tips

It is our goal to get you and your animal teammate out in your community as quickly as possible, to brighten the lives of children, adults and seniors. To ensure that the processing of your registration packet goes smoothly, please review your Pet Partners Team Training Manual and the following important tips to avoid delays. If you do not have a registration packet or the Pet Partners Team Training Manual, please visit our website at www.deltasociety.org to place an order or call 425.679.5523. The registration packet is included in the manual and is not available separately. • Materials are subject to change. If your packet is close to a year old, please email petpartners@deltasociety.org or call Delta Society at 425.679.5500 to receive and complete the current version.

• Be sure to fill out all sections of each form, provide your signature where needed, and include the photo and fee. Please note that processing your packet will be delayed or mailed back if any part of it is incomplete.

• Packets must be received in an appropriate fashion (i.e. stained, torn or illegible packets may be returned), if you need a clean packet, contact Delta Society to email or mail a packet to you.

• Make a copy of your completed registration packet for your records.

• Packets are processed in the order that they are received. Due to the volume of packets received, we cannot “rush” the processing of your packet. There are no exceptions.

• The turnaround time for processing is two to three weeks. Please allow the time for processing before calling or emailing to check on the status of your packet. Each phone/email received delays the processing of packets including your own. If you want to know whether your packet has been received, be sure to mail it “Return Receipt Requested.”

• Do not schedule a visit until you have received your acceptance letter. Note you are not eligible to visit or represent yourself as a Delta Society Pet Partners Team until you have the acceptance letter in hand.

• If you are registering more than one handler and or more than one animal, you must submit a complete packet for each additional handler / animal you are registering, including required steps and team evaluation, with the steps in the correct order. Be sure to make copies of each step, even if the information is the same, for example a health screening form must be included for each packet that a handler is registering with that animal. Packets that are missing steps will be sent back to you.

• If you list an email address correspondence will be sent to that address, please add Delta Society to your accepted email list to avoid your letter ending up in your spam, junk or bulk email box.

• Emailing your photo to registration@deltasociety.org saves us time and we are able to get your acceptance letters and badges to you more quickly. Make sure that the name with your picture is the same as your packet (if your full name is Marcus and you go by Mark please make sure both the packet and picture are labeled Mark).
If you use two last names, or have changed your last name, please let us know especially if it differs from what we have on file for you.

• Please do not send your badge photo on a CD or disk.

• For Step #8 – be sure the Evaluator provides you with your Team Evaluation score sheet, it must be included with the submission of your packet.

• Review all of the Steps one more time to ensure you have each piece completed in its entirety.
